1.0        WHO WE ARE?

MyPorter (is a trading names of Global View Systems Ltd (The Company) is a company registered in England & Wales under company number 04662609 and our registered address is Cedar House, Hazell Drive, Newport, NP10 8FY)

 

2.0       WHAT IS THIS PRIVACY POLICY IS FOR?

This Privacy Policy gives you information about how personal data and other private information that The Company collect from you as a User of our website (“you” or “your” being interpreted accordingly) will be used by us.

When we refer to ‘personal data’ in this Policy it means any information that relates to you from which you can be identified. By using any of our websites or submitting your personal data you are taken to accept the terms of this Policy.

 

3.0       WHAT PERSONAL DATA MAY WE COLLECT?

 

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet computer and connection information.

 

We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.

 

We also collect personally identifiable information including name, email, comments and product / service feedback.

 

This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons;

 

3.1 Site visitation tracking

 

Like most websites, the MyPorter website uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction.

 

We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to track their journey through the website.

 

Although GA records data such as your approximate geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us.

GA also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google does not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third-party data processor.

GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google’s developer guides.

For your information, the MyPorter website uses the Wix implementation of GA.

Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website.

3.2 Email links

 

Should you choose to contact us using an email link, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to/be processed only by any of the third party data processors defined in section 4.0.

 

Instead, the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.

 

3.3 Contact forms 

 

Should you choose to contact us using the contact form on our website the email address that you submit to us will be stored in our Wix website platform in the 'Contacts' database, which we use to contact you.

 

We consider Wix to be a third-party data processor (see section 4.0). The email address that you submit will be stored within this website’s own database but not in any of our internal computer systems.

 

Your email address will remain within the Wix 'Contacts' database on our website for as long as we continue to use the Wix platform or until you specifically request removal from the list.

 

You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you or by requesting removal via email. When requesting removal via email, please send your email to us using the email account that you used on the contact us form.

 

4.0       THIRD PARTIES

We use third party to process personal data on our behalf;

 

4.1        WIX

 

We use WIX software and design tools to produce and manage our website.  WIX is classified as a third party processor and as such take steps to ensure data protection to all our customers including:

 

  • Wix employs full-time security consultants, dedicated to the security of our customer information.  

 

  • Wix's signup and login services are completed through a secure server (HTTPS/SSL). 

 

  • Wix uses cryptography hash functions to protect your information. Your password is stored as a hash digest and, in the event of a security breach, your original password cannot be recovered from ours or Wix servers.  

 

  • Wix is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce, regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States, and therefore adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles.

 

 

4.2       GOOGLE ANALYTICS

 

As described in clause 3.2, our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google, Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, www.google.com (“Google Analytics” or “Google”).

 

Google Analytics employs cookies that are stored to your computer in order to facilitate an analysis of your use of the site. The information generated by these cookies, such as time, place and frequency of your visits to our site, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google’s location in the US and stored there.

 

In using Google Analytics our website employs the extension “anonymizeIp”. In doing so, Google abbreviates and thereby anonymizes your IP address before transferring it from EU/EEA member states. Google uses this information to analyse your use of our site, to compile reports for us on internet activity and to provide other services relating to our website.

 

Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Google states that it will in never associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly as noted elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.

 

Google Analytics also offers a deactivation add-on for most current browsers that provides you with more control over what data Google can collect on websites you access. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) used by Google Analytics not to transmit any information about website visits to Google Analytics. However, the browser deactivation add-on offered by Google Analytics does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services we may engage.

 

Google Analytics also uses electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes called single pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyse how our site is used.

We will only retain a your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of your personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

We may share your personal data with third parties in the following situations:

The MyPorter website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

This website is hosted in data centres in the United States and Europe.

 

From time to time, we may transfer hosting from one location to another.  Notwithstanding the above, the Wix.com platform complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US privacy shield framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce, regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States, and therefore adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. 

 

All traffic (transferral of files) between this website and your browser is encrypted and delivered over HTTPS.

 

10.0     YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

The right to request access to, or copies of, your personal data that we process. We reserve the right to request proof of identification and in certain occasions (such as redacting CCTV footage) a reasonable contribution towards the administrative costs of collating the data;
